In the hub of the Gaslamp Quarter of Downtown San Diego sits a quaint and hospitable hotel tucked between the less than busy streets California is known for. Out of pure curiosity, I ventured in only to be melted by its sparkle and serenity to feel like I was directly in the middle of a movie scene. The morning started out with a flavorful breakfast with in house ingredients and to die for coffee. The service was unbelievably delightful with staff waiting on me and paying close attention to cues for whether I was ready to order or my body language portraying I was out of coffee. They’ve hired mind readers, I’m sure!
Following breakfast, I wandered vicariously through the hotel and to my amazement, the rooms were beyond spectacular. Down to their smallest room category, each room is spacious and well stocked with an abundance of goodies. Bathrooms were definitely given much thought when being designed because they glorify your presence with the right ambiance of lighting and spa-like details.
This hotel is well equipped with various entertainment spots, including a spectacular night club below ground that replicates the notorious speakeasies from the 20’s followed by a more modern selection of music, depending on the theme of the night. I can’t wait to come back to this hotel!
