March 20, 2012, Alaska Airlines opened the new Terminal 6 at LAX. Expecting an enhanced customer experience, Alaska created a terminal with additional amenities, quicker check-in, a new LEED certified Board Room.
To streamline your curb-to-gate time, Alaska added additional ticket kiosks and bag drops while an increased number of security checkpoint lines should get you through screening in a breeze. Electrical outlets now populate half the seats in the gate area, no more having to hunt a spot to recharge your phone or sit in the corner to use your laptop.
International flyers will have an easier time with expanded customs facilities and 6 new international gates. Passengers will be able to use the new pedestrian tunnel to quickly make their next flight/connection.
