Business Travel News recently released their 2012 Corporate Travel Index. The 28 page PDF is a comprehensive guide to the daily costs of business travel broken down between US, Non-US Americas, EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) and Asia/Pacific. All per diems are based on hotel prices and auto rentals paid by corporate travelers, while food costs are supplied by an outside consulting firm. BTN reports, on average US daily per diems have increased .9%, international costs have risen 4.1%. The highest daily per diem in the US is still New York at $536.96 while Seattle, while ranking # 9 has a daily cost of $346.31, a 1.1% increase over last year.
