Do you have an Alaska frequent flyer number? If so, here’s how the breakup between Alaska and Delta will affect you.
As of May 1, 2017, Delta Air Lines will no longer be a Mileage Plan partner of Alaska.
This means that soon, Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan members will no longer be able to earn and redeem miles when flying with Delta.
Here are the important dates to keep in mind:
- If your ticket was booked through Dec 18, 2016 (for any future travel date), you can earn Alaska miles on Delta
- If your ticket was booked on or after Dec 19, 2016 (for travel through Apr 30, 2017), you can earn Alaska miles on Delta
- If your ticket was booked on or after Dec 19, 2016 (for travel May 1, 2017 and beyond), you can no longer earn Alaska miles on Delta
