Five vacation and cruise advisors from Stellar Travel enjoyed the privilege of a private tour and lunch on board the Disney Wonder cruise ship at Seattle’s Pier 91. Sailing 7-night itineraries from Seattle to Alaska during the 2012 summer season the Disney Wonder provides an ideal family vacation for all ages.
Family fun on board includes swimming pool, slides and splash zones; first-run films day and night – some in 3-D; action-packed sports decks; Disney deck parties; Disney character dining experiences; Disney Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab play spaces designed just for children and fun-loving youth counselors for early/late child care.
In addition to magical Disney experiences for kids, tweens, and teens there are separate spaces created for adult cruisers. The “adults-only” swimming pool area was a welcome space with beautiful lounge chairs and services. No children are in the nightclubs, spa area and large, well-equipped fitness center. Many dining venues are available from casual to elegant. The ship is beautifully decorated, appearing to be maintained in top condition and we met with the delightful captain and hotel director to answer our questions.
The Disney Wonder has unique family staterooms with double bathrooms (commode/sink and shower/sink) plus multiple sleeping options with pull-down beds for three, four and even five person accommodation per stateroom. We were on board as the first guests were greeted by Disney characters for their “red carpet” arrival to the delight of everyone.
In 2013 the summer Alaska cruises will depart from the Port of Vancouver, Canada. Space is still available from Seattle on the August 20, 2012 sailing – before the kids are back to school. Contact your Stellar Travel advisor or info@stellartravel.com or 425.747.1900 – 800.445.3265
