It’s been called the Disney World of Italian food. Opening November 15, 2017, FICO Eataly World will be a massive food-themed amusement park in Bologna, Italy. A press release says it will showcase “the wonders of Italian biodiversity and food & wine excellence, from field to fork.”
There are other Eataly markets currently in New York, Dubai, and Boston which highlight Italian cuisine. However, this park will be an unprecedented size, covering 20+ acres of land.
See crops growing in the fields – citrus, fruit trees, grains, vegetables, and more. Meet livestock face to face, like cows, goats, rabbits, donkeys, sheep, and pigs. In total, there will be 40 restaurants, 6 rides, and 40 factories where visitors can see cheese, pasta, and other Italian specialties being produced. Attend classes to learn about all aspects of food creation – for instance, how to make bread and how to plant seeds. You can read more about FICO Eataly World HERE
Admission to the park is free. For more ideas about off-the-beaten-path activities in Italy, your Stellar Travel advisor is a great resource. Call today to get started planning your next vacation!
