The TGV (France’s high-speed train) will begin service this July between Paris and Bordeaux, making the trip in just two hours – a full hour and ten minutes shorter than usual.

Service is scheduled to begin on July 2, 2017. Trains will run hourly during off-peak times, and every 30 minutes during the busiest times of the day.

With 18 non-stop round trip journeys daily, Bordeaux will become an easy day trip from Paris. Commuters (and ambitious tourists) can arrive in Bordeaux before 9AM, and stay as late as 9PM before heading back to Paris.
